Brutte notizie per tutti i possessori di device HTC con processori SnapDragon di vecchia generazione, quali HTC Desire HD, Desire S, Incredibile S, Desire e simili. Infatti sembra che non arriveranno mai delle rom con Android Jelly Bean e Sense 4+, in quanto non vi sono sorgenti rilasciati da HTC.
Sicuramente questa è una brutta figura e un brutto ritorno di immagine per HTC, in quanto non avrebbe dovuto spendere assolutamente nulla per rilasciare i sorgenti e accontentare chi (come il sottoscritto) ha acquistato in passato un loro device. La speranza è che coin HTC One cambi qualcosa, ma almeno per ora l’arrivo di custom rom con Jelly Bean e interfaccia Sense 4+ sembra assolutamente impossibile.
Questo quanto dichiarato dall’utente torxx di XDA a riguardo:
There won’t be a JB Sense 4+ possible for the old wvga devices with old msm processors, the reason is that you need an ion kernel to boot the ROM up, as you know there are no sources for ages from HTC, also possible released kernel sources for devices like thunderbolt won’t be useable, since they are not ion. I would say 99,9% there won’t be a JB Sense ROM ever for DHD etc.Sorry to say that but blame HTC for no support kernel related
